The fastest ways to make money in GTA 5 after beating the game
Many players struggle to make money quickly after completing the GTA 5’s main story, but we have some ways to quickly make a lot of cash.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is one of the most ambitious and successful games of this century, at least so far. With so much for players to do, completing the basic story mode is only the first half of the puzzle. Players who rush through the main story often find themselves struggling to decide what they should do next.
Now, the post-game of Grand Theft Auto has various things to do, from the many Strangers and Freaks missions to collecting all of the spaceship parts. However, the problem arises when players try doing things that require a large amount of money. After all, the story mode is over, so what should players do next, right?
We’re here with some of the best ways players can make money in Grand Theft Auto 5’s single-player mode after beating the game. These methods include assassination missions, heists, and more.
Assassination Missions
If you have already finished the main story, Lester’s assassination missions are probably the best money-makers. The key is to invest all three protagonists’ money into the correct stocks before and after each assassination, through which you’ll be able to manipulate the stock market for massive returns.
Before doing the “Hotel Assassination” mission, for example, you should first invest in Betta Pharmaceuticals and sell at the peak. Each mission opens up its set of opportunities to exploit stock surges, and with the right moves, you’ll be making millions.
Timing and patience are very important, and you should make sure to save up from smaller earning sources, like races. The missions themselves are fairly straightforward and are the fastest and most efficient method to get rich in story mode.
The Big Score Heist
“The Big Score” is the final heist mission in GTA 5 and one of the most profitable missions in the game. The good part about this mission is that whether you choose the subtle approach or the loud method, you still get a minimum of $120 million that’s split between the three protagonists.
Replaying this mission after completing the game won’t let you keep the profits from the replay, but you can still go back to a previous save and replay the mission from that point. The mission is towards the end of the game, so it won’t make much of a difference if you go back. If you’re trying a few different methods, we recommend doing this one first to not undo the progress of other methods.
The key to maximizing your earnings is choosing the best crew members. Higher-skilled ones will cost a bigger cut but their efficiency will actually leave you with more money in the end.
Stock Market Manipulation
Even after you’ve done Lester’s assassination missions, the stock market will still be a goldmine for anyone who knows how to work on it. You can manipulate both the BAWSAQ and LCN stock markets for huge profits through a couple of strategies.
Firstly, invest in a company when its stock is at a low point. This will allow you to leave with a big profit margin once you sell the stocks at a higher price. Secondly, influence the market yourself. Do this by destroying rival company assets like trucks or equipment, which can push your stock up. Franklin’s side missions such as destroying competing vehicles are perfect for this.
The stock market is unpredictable, but clues like in-game news or events will help you decide when to make a move.
Story Mode Heists
The Story Mode Heists are another great way to earn big money after you’re done with the main story. Specifically, the Jewel Store Job, the Paleto Bay Heist, and the Bureau Raid can all be replayed after the main story ends. You also get to keep the payout from these heists, although the amount stays fixed.
For the Jewel Store Job, go for the smart approach and choose a skilled crew that will reduce the chances of casualties and damage. For the Paleto Bay Heist, go with the loud approach because it suits the job. It does increase the risk, but picking crew members with good driving and gun skills will help you escape smoothly. For higher earnings in the Bureau Raid, go with the stealth method to maximize your cut.
Rob Armored trucks and Security Vans
Robbing armored trucks and Security Vans is one of the fastest and easiest ways to make quick, easy, and small cash. These can be found around the map and it’s easy to run into one, often in parking lots, or busy areas like convenience stores and highways. Rob one by shooting at the truck’s rear doors to force them open and grab the cash inside, which can range up to $8000.
The guards inside will be armed, so make sure you have a reasonable supply of weapons to handle them. A good tip is to go in with a weapon that can pierce armor, ensuring the door opens quickly and you can make a fast getaway. This method helps you secure fast and easy cash that can stack up over time, while also adding tons of fun on the gameplay side of things.
Random encounters
Random encounters are arguably the most fun and unpredictable way to make money in the game. These events are spontaneous and pop up throughout Los Santos. They can consist of a series of quick missions and mini-storylines, like helping a robbery victim who’ll reward you with cash or giving a hitchhiker a ride to the Altruist Cult, which gives you a much bigger reward.
The missions are quick and easy, and while the earnings can vary from mission to mission, they can reward up to $10,000 which makes them worth it. These encounters are scattered all over the map which will also keep your grind exciting and dynamic.
Hunting and taxi mission
Trevor and Franklin both have specific missions that only they can complete. Covering Trevor first, it’s important that players don’t kill Trevor at the end of the main story, otherwise his hunting missions will obviously get locked.
Hunting in Blaine County can be a fun activity for players. However, the more important part is that players can also profit from it by visiting Cletus, who introduces Trevor to hunting during the mission “Fair Game.” With that done, players can use the hunting rifle to go to areas like the Raton Canyon or Grand Senora Desert to start hunting animals.
Alternatively, those who killed Trevor and can’t do hunting activities anymore can opt to do taxi missions instead. Taxi missions have been a staple of the Grand Theft Auto series since Rockstar Games took players to Liberty City in GTA 3, and GTA 5 is no different. All players have to do is steal a taxi and start the taxi mission to get an instant passenger.
While these taxi missions usually don’t give players much money, those who purchase the Downtown Cab Co. as Franklin get access to private fares. Private fares give players much more money depending on the client and distance. Therefore, while technically any character can do these missions, it’s recommended to use Franklin for quicker cash.
Convenience store robberies
If you’re short on some cash but don’t want to do anything that may take a while, all you have to do is go to your nearest convenience store in Los Santos and aim a gun at the person behind the counter. Continue holding the gun there and the person will eventually grab some cash to give to you at the cost of a wanted level.
While the amount of money players get from this method isn’t much, the best part is that it’s pretty much an infinite money glitch. Regardless of how many times you rob a store, it’ll eventually restock cash after some in-game time. This means players can repeatedly rob the same few stores to make quick cash. Some stores even have double cash registers, and players can rob both of them every time for double the money.
There are a few ways to ensure things don’t go wrong, though. It’s important to have a car outside the store that players can use as their getaway vehicle. Additionally, some store owners are armed, and it’s crucial to be prepared to take them out if necessary.
